Vanda Bronze Medal


First Aid Certification
On the 21st and 28th of February, I learned about the many things in a first aid kit, their uses and how to bandage someone with gauze. I also learned how to use the AED and how to apply CPR.
I earned a bronze medal at the prestigious Vanda Competition Singapore in 2023. This achievement required comprehensive preparation, strategic problem-solving, and performance under pressure. My placement among top participants reflects dedicated academic effort and demonstrates my commitment and interest in science
Boys Brigade
I am an active member of the Boys' Brigade Junior program, where I develop leadership skills and community values. During the 2022 BB Enrolment Service at Saint Andrew's Cathedral, I was selected to read scripture before the congregation, demonstrating my commitment to the organization's principles and my ability to represent the program with confidence in formal ceremonial settings.
Tree planting at Pulau Ubin
For my 10th birthday, I chose to forgo traditional gifts and instead contributed to Singapore's OneMillionTrees movement by planting 10 trees. This nationwide initiative aims to plant one million additional trees across Singapore over the next decade. The program also includes tracking capabilities that allow me to monitor my trees' growth progress, creating a meaningful long-term connection to environmental conservation efforts.
Science Buskers
School Prefect
I serve as a school prefect, a leadership position that demonstrates my commitment and student governance. This role requires maintaining high behavioural standards, supporting school policies, and serving as a positive role model for fellow students. My appointment reflects the trust placed in my leadership abilities and responsibility in fostering a conducive learning environment within the school community.
For Science Buskers, we made a tree out of brown and green tough paper. Next , we prepared the limonene needed for the experiment. We also laminated the sheets to explain the experiment. however , on the day itself, we improvised to attract more people.Overall, it was a fun experience and taught the the values of perseverance and improvisation.

I served as the volunteer cameraman for the Vocabulous event at Tiong Bahru Community Centre, providing professional-quality documentation of this community program. This technical role required proficiency in camera operation, event coverage coordination, and visual storytelling to capture key moments effectively. My contribution supported the event's outreach objectives while demonstrating my technical competency and commitment to community engagement through specialized skill application.
Helping Auntie Ah Bee
I provided assistance to Mrs. Tan Ah Bee, an elderly community member, demonstrating my commitment to intergenerational support and community service and by bringing her to the hospital for check ups and cleaning up her estate. This volunteer engagement developed my understanding of elder care needs while fostering meaningful relationships across age groups, reflecting my dedication to compassionate community outreach and social responsibility.
Helping Uncle William
I maintained a consistent volunteer commitment with my mother by providing daily assistance to William, an elderly visually impaired community member, following my after-school student care program. This regular service demonstrated my dedication to community support and developed my understanding of accessibility needs while fostering meaningful intergenerational connections through sustained compassionate outreach.
